Buzz and I were talking today about things I missed about the UK. I named Fish & Chips and cozy English pubs with mediocre food, but I completely forgot about chocolate. I read this article this evening and was painfully reminded how superior (IMHO) British chocolate is to American chocolate.
But, the best part of this article is the fourth comment by a gentleman named Vermando:
"Do British people have awful taste in everything? Maybe Cadbury's was a superior chocolate in post-war rationed Britain, where the other great food was chips with vinegar. Maybe. In the rest of the world? You've got to be kidding. Belgians don't even consider it chocolate, and rightfully so, and neither do the Swiss. Go drink some warm, terrible beer, eat your Cadbury's, and enjoy being British. Please, though, don't try to claim that you're having a superior culinary experience."Touché, Mr. Vermando, touché :)
